By downloading or using Kelo ("the app"), you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable, not watertight-at-the-cost-of-meaning. If anything here is unclear, reach out at support@kelofireplanner.com.

1. What Kelo Is

Kelo is an iOS app for personal financial independence planning. It runs Monte Carlo simulations on historical market data to produce probability distributions of retirement outcomes. Everything runs on your iPhone.

2. Financial Disclaimer (Important)

Kelo is not a financial advisor. It does not provide investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. It does not execute trades, custody assets, or issue personalized recommendations.

Monte Carlo simulations are illustrative. Past market returns do not guarantee future results. Model outputs depend on your inputs and assumptions, which may not reflect real-world outcomes.

Consult a licensed fiduciary financial advisor before making retirement decisions.

3. Subscriptions

Kelo offers a free tier (1 scenario) and a Pro subscription:

Pro Monthly: $6.99 per month, auto-renewing.
Pro Annual: $49.99 per year, auto-renewing (40% saving vs monthly).

Free trial: New subscribers to either Pro Monthly or Pro Annual receive a 1-month free trial. The trial starts when the subscription begins; you will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge. You are eligible for one free trial per subscription group per Apple ID.

Subscription payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase (or at the end of the free trial). Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.

Managing and Cancelling Your Subscription

You can manage, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time:

Open iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Kelo → Cancel Subscription.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Pro features remain available until then.

Refunds

All refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store refund policy. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact us and we'll help you navigate the Apple refund flow.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the app's licensing.
Misrepresent the app's outputs as professional financial advice.
Use the app to violate any law in your jurisdiction.

5. Intellectual Property

Kelo, its name, logo (the keel arc mark), and related branding are the property of the operator (see Section 10). The historical market data bundled with the app is used under fair-use / public-domain / licensed terms as appropriate for each dataset source (Stocks/Bonds/Bills/Inflation data; SSA actuarial data; IRS/HHS Federal Poverty Level data).

6. No Warranty

Kelo is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Simulation outputs are probabilistic — they are not a prediction. Use at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including (but not limited to) financial decisions made in reliance on its outputs.

8. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, we ask that you contact us first at support@kelofireplanner.com. We will work in good faith to resolve the issue within 30 days before any formal proceeding.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any unresolved dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Chandigarh, India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be surfaced in the app and the effective date above will change.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the Apple Standard End-User License Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding your use of Kelo.
